Centre for Marian Studies The Centre for Marian Studies object is the advancement of the education of the public in all matter

The Centre for Marian Studies is a registered charity whose object is the advancement of the education of the public in all matters regarding the Virgin Mary. The Centre was established in 1995 by members of the Marian Study Group, an informal, inter-disciplinary group of scholars with an academic interest in Marian doctrine or devotion. Since its foundation, the Centre has been building up a libr

ary and picture collection, running educational courses, supporting research, providing lecturers for outside organisations, providing help and supervision for students, and giving information to the mass media and general public. Oversight of the CMS is carried out by the Trustees and Management Committee:

The Centre for Marian Studies is delighted to announce the on-line publication of the new series of Maria: A Journal of Marian Studies. Maria is a peer reviewed journal with academic level content. Sarah Jane Boss, Thomas O’Loughlin, and Sr Theresa Marie Chau Nguyen have contributed excellent articles; there are also translations of important medieval writings, and book reviews. The first issue is available from the link below.

We are very much looking forward to our online conference, which will take place next week from 8th – 10th July 2021, and we are delighted that so many people are interested in joining us. If you have already signed up for the conference, you should have received an email with an attachment containing the abstracts for the presentations.
