Roger Preece's Talk on Mentoring

Starting at 12:30 on Saturday, 6th June, in the Eastside Bar & Restaurant area, CGCA’s new President, Roger Preece will deliver an informal talk on “Being a good Mentor, and a good Mentee”. Imperial alumni, students, and staff are welcome to listen in.

Before becoming Master of Royal St Katherine’s, Roger followed an international consulting career in the financial industry. Roger founded the Capco Institute, which oversaw all the professional training for Capco staff worldwide. As part of this, he developed and rolled-out an internal coaching programme. Following his studies at Oxford University, he developed his own coaching framework; ThinkingLife - towards a Balanced and Effective Life. He has been coaching senior executives for over twenty years and brings a wealth of practical experience to his clients.
He is certified in a number of advanced Psychometric tools including Zenger Folkman Extraordinary Leader Predictive Role Profiling for High Performing Teams (British Psychological Society Registered Tool) and Cognadev’s Cognitive Process Profile. He believes that the Strengths Unleashed Triangulation process provides a unique window into self-understanding and team effectiveness.

Roger will bring this wealth of experience to mentoring whether that be in educational or business environments.

And all for FREE!
The talk will conclude in a Q&A session.

Roger’s talk will follow on from the CGA AGM. The AGM starts at 11:30 in room 427, Skempton Building (Civ Eng) on Imperial’s South Kensington Campus. This Talk will be delivered in a separate space in the Alumni Lounge – a facility sponsored by CGCA and RCSA for members visiting The Great Exhibition Road Festival
