Would you like to learn a new subject this summer? 👀

The Undergraduate Summer School at King's offers a variety of modules across King's faculties, during two sessions in July and August. Join us to immerse yourself in British culture and higher education, and connect with undergraduates from around the world.

The classes deliver globally renowned, research-led teaching including lectures, small group seminars, and workshops to make summer classes as engaging and informative as possible. Each module lasts three weeks and modules are offered in two different sessions. You are welcome to attend both sessions and thereby study two modules of your choice.

You will have live case studies, educational visits and talks from expert guest speakers, and you can apply for credit from your home institution towards your undergraduate degree, enhance your career prospects and build an international network.

Would you like to learn more about 3D printing? 🖨️

3D printing is an increasingly important technology for healthcare. Image segmentation of medical images such as CT and MR scans can be used to create 3D anatomical models such as a femur or an aorta. The 3D Printing Summer School module at King's is ideal for any student interested in the application of 3D printing to healthcare, with a view to further study or employment in the area of health technology.

This course will cover the basics of 3D design using the FreeCAD software. You will learn how to prepare and translate 3D models to 3D prints, and how to segment a medical image to create a 3D anatomical model. You will also develop insight into the cost effectiveness of 3D printing and its multiple applications in healthcare. Upon completion of this course, you will know how to make your own 3D printer using a tool kit and know how to operate the printer.

The Psychology Summer School module at King’s will provide you with a deep understanding of the complex bi-directional relationship between the mind and the body. You will explore how different parts of the body, such as the gut, influence the development and function of the brain, and in turn, how the brain exerts influence over the body.
