Matthew Cobb is professor of zoology. He is known for his works in communicating science - this talk will focus on his book 'The Idea of the Brain'

Linking research from behavioural ecology, history and philosophy, Matthew provides a comprehensive view of how the idea of the brain changed over time, and what its implications for neuroscience are.

First talk of 2023!!! Join us online on Tuesday!! Johnathan Cooper-Knock is clinical lecturer at University of Sheffield. His work focuses on the genetic causes of motor neuron disease and is now leading investigation of the non-coding genome in the largest ever disease-specific whole genome sequencing project which is focused on Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also called motor neuron disease).

Our next talk is happening virtually so sit back, relax and hear about the wonders of behavioural phenotypic of mouse models of drug abuse hosted INTERNATIONALLY 🌎

Dr. Ajonijebu is an academic and neuroscientist in the department of Human Physiology, School of Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences, at Nelson Mandela University (NMU) in South Africa. He has published several articles in accredited neuroscience journals to his credit and received many awards and grants including IBRO early career award, ALBA-FKNE-YIBRO diversity and NRF Thuthuka grants. His research thrust lies in characterizing neurocognitive disorders in drug abuse and pathogen-driven cortical and hippocampal defective functioning while delineating the underpinned molecular and epigenetic changes.
