MSA SALONS is back!

On Wednesday 09th of March, Thursday 10th of March and Friday 11th of March, 10:00 – 12:45, online.

We are excited to announce the launch of the 2022 MSA SALONS, occurring next week, on the 09th-11th of March, 10:00-12:45, online. Places are limited so please sign up for your salon now using the link in your student email.

About the Salons

You are invited to sign up for a half day morning Salon with a pair of external invited practitioner/academic/artist guests. Salons are a rare opportunity for you to discuss your matters of concern or care in relation to design with someone from outside the University, and to meet other students from different courses/stages within the school. We are offering you three mornings of Salons which will all be online, and you can sign up for more than one salon. You will be grouped with 2 invited guests and other students from across the MSA.

You are asked to bring four things to the ‘virtual table’ to begin the discussion – a photograph, an object, a drawing, and a question. You will post these on a shared Salon Miro board online, where everyone in the group can ‘gather’. The Salon is not to be seen as a tutorial or crit, but rather as an enjoyable higher-level conversation concerning architecture, landscape, urbanism, design, and the wider contexts within which it sits. As with any conversation, equal input is expected from all within the group to stir ideas, thoughts, and opinions.

All students from BA Architecture, M.Arch, MA Architecture+Urbanism, and MA Landscape Architecture are invited to sign up for at least one salon.
