Temple Manor Lodge No 8143

Temple Manor Lodge No 8143 The regular meetings of the Lodge are held on the 3rd Tuesday in February, April, May, October (Installation), and November.

Our Lodge of Instruction meets every Monday 19:00 from the end of September to the middle of May. An international and widely recognised fraternity, Freemasonry provides its members with the opportunity to embark on an amazing lifelong journey of learning and self discovery and of deepening personal moral strength and compassion. Most Masons find the experience both challenging and rewarding and a

bove all, enormously enjoyable. Whilst dating back several centuries in this country no one knows exactly when Freemasonry, as we know it today, started. However, the Craft on which it was founded, that of stonemasons, dates back thousands of years, recent examples of which can be seen everywhere, in our castles, churches, cathedrals, and other historic buildings. The strict rules and guidelines that were used to train and develop young men into supreme masters of the stonemason's craft are used in Freemasonry, but now, in metaphorical form, to develop the character, values and spirit of the individual. For Freemasonry expounds the art of self-discovery and continuous self-improvement; of using human virtues as templates, enabling men gradually to fashion, sculpt and craft themselves into better individuals from the inner person and hopefully, to become even more helpful, worthy and useful members of society.

On Tuesday evening our Provincial Grand Master took the chair where he conducted a Double Initiation, bringing his son Bro George Anders into the craft. There were quite a few Lewis's in the lodge that evening! Between a great ceremony from all involved and Project Transform, it was definitely a night to remember!

W Bro Chris Anders takes the Chair of King Solomon in Temple Manor
On Thursday, 21st November, the brethren of Temple Manor Lodge in Marlow gathered for a very special occasion, the installation of Worshipful Brother Chris Anders as the new Worshipful Master of the Lodge.

The ceremony was conducted by R.W. Bro. Tim Anders, the Installing Master, who thoroughly enjoyed installing his brother into the chair of King Solomon. The atmosphere throughout the evening was incredible, and the ceremony was very enjoyable.

Brother Chris Anders expressed his gratitude to the brethren for their confidence and support, paying tribute to those who had guided him on his Masonic journey. In his address, he spoke of his hopes for the year ahead, emphasising teamwork, charity, and the importance of strengthening the Lodge.

Also installing his Father Ron Anders as a Steward and his Nephew or Toby in Junior Deacon.

The 3rd degree tools were performed by Bro Toby Anders in word perfect fashion, similarly followed im the 2nd by Bro Krasi who is joining the lodge and finally in the 1st Bro Nick of the lodge who is an EA at his second ever meeting!

The evening concluded with a bustling festive board, where members and guests enjoyed good company and hearty conversation. The sense of unity and enthusiasm among all present made it clear that Temple Manor Lodge has a bright and active year ahead under its new leadership.

Congratulations to W Bro Chris Anders on his installation and sincere thanks to Worshipful Brother Tim Anders for a memorable and well-conducted ceremony.

In a very surprising twist, it was announced that Mr George Anders will be initiated into Freemasonry on the 18th November at the next Temple Manor meeting. This came as an extreme shock too the PGM as it was kept as a well guarded secret by all the members, committee and the rest of his family. Of course, he is absolutely delighted.

Please join Temple Manor on the 18th November where we will initiate Bro George Anders and host a “Family First” theme evening, we encourage members with masonic families to come along and join us. Writing by David Clark
