As part of a team from Teesside University we were given a private viewing yesterday of the 4 shortlisted exhibitions for Turner Prize 2025 at Cartwright Hall in Bradford. We were absolutely spellbound by these huge exhibitions and felt very privileged. The winner was announced tonight live on BBC News as Nnena Kalu 👏🏻 making history as the first learning disabled artist to win.

Next year the Turner Prize is coming to Middlesbrough and will be held at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art and and and
we can’t wait to bring art into our local community and across the wider Tees Valley and North East. @

We got a cover story!
Anyone interested in Virtual Reality and prehistoric 32+ million year old tree trunks? An article from our multidisciplinary lecturer Dr Charalampos Psarros has been selected to be on the cover of the special issue “AI Synergy: Vision, Language and Modality”, published by Switzerland-based MDPI within their “Electronics” journal. His work is on the cover and the article is also promoted as a ‘Cover Story’ summary on the front page. It is Open Access so it is available to all to check it out for free.
