๐ฌ๐ง๐จ๐ณ Celebrating cultural connections between the UK and China
The event brought together senior leaders, educators and students from across China and the UK to celebrate the richness of both cultures through an inspiring showcase of talent and collaboration.
The audience enjoyed outstanding performances from the Chinese participants, including traditional instrumental music, elegant dance and powerful martial arts. British students also demonstrated their own talents, creating a genuine cultural dialogue both on stage and throughout the day. Beyond the performances, the event provided valuable opportunities for meaningful discussions on how we can continue to strengthen social, cultural and language connections between our two countries.
Events like these remind us that education has the power to transcend borders. When people come together face-to-face, they do far more than learn about each otherโs cultures. They build lasting friendships, deepen mutual understanding and create partnerships that help shape a more connected future.
Our sincere thanks to the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, Ministry of Education, for hosting such a meaningful and inspiring occasion. We hope this marks the beginning of many more opportunities for people from Britain and China to learn, connect and grow together.
It was a privilege for James Llewellyn, Assistant Principal: International and Principal of LSI/IH Portsmouth, to attend the Sino-British People-to-People Exchange Programme Ceremony at Harrow School in London as a Guest of Honour.
