Careers Week | Backing the Next Generation

Here at Pickstock, we recognise that the future of British farming depends on young people coming through with the right support and experience.

That’s why we’re proud to be part of the McDonald’s & OSI Progressive Young Farmer programme.

Our current placee, Efa Watkin, joined to gain hands-on insight across the beef supply chain, from farm to finished product and to better understand how high welfare, sustainability and large-scale production work together.

As Efa puts it, she wanted real experience and a deeper understanding of what goes into producing quality beef for a major customer.

We’re pleased to play our part in helping young farmers build confidence, skills and a future in this industry.

Because investing in young people is investing in British agriculture.
