It’s been a great term for our UCN Engineering department as we continue to strengthen and expand our team. We’re delighted to welcome Refik Kizilirmak, who brings valuable expertise and fresh perspectives that will further enhance the learning experience for our students.

Alongside this, we are also progressing positively toward IED (Institution of Engineering Designers) accreditation, with confirmation currently pending. Foundation Degree students were pleased to welcome Laura Lewis, the CEO of Daisy's Dream, as a guest speaker today. Daisy's Dream is a charity that supports children and young people affected by bereavement, whether they are preparing for a loss or coping with the aftermath of losing someone important. Laura's insights and experiences provided our students with valuable knowledge on how to better support children and families dealing with grief. We appreciate her time and the impactful work Daisy's Dream continues to do in our community.
