"Over the moon", pun intended, to be invited to the launch pad of APOLLO50, a year of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the modernist icon that is the Apollo Pavilion in Peterlee. Built by artist Victor Pasmore to commemorate the 1969 moon landing, this "love it or loathe it" large scale experiment in the synthesis of art and architecture still stands through a community effort. The facade was transformed into a moving, flowing structure by Berlin based artists Vader Wiermann, specialists in light and video mapping.
Cubesedge used the Pavilion as a backdrop for Denatures electronic sound in their 2016 EP Loss.
One of the tracks from the EP, was selected for the official video by Chris Lavelle.

With their final live electronic set at the SurfCafe, Tynemouth tonight, Denatures electronic sound can still be heard with their EP Loss on i tunes. Requiring key visuals that not only blended with the music, the band required a theme that 'cemented'(pun intended) a regional identity. Brutalist Architecture and North East England's significant role in it's international development in the 1960's was used to promote the track "Acceptance" and the cover for the bands EP loss.Cubesedge provided the Photography for the band.

Denature will be doing their last electronic set live tonight at the SurfCafe, Tynemouth. A distinctive sound which they will be continuing with for sync and radio, further live shows will be acoustic,again in their own inimitable style. Cubesedge provided promotional photography at dawn on the north east coast for the preview mix of the EP Loss, well worth a listen.
