THE UNDERGRADUATE LINGUISTICS ASSOCIATION OF BRITAIN NEEDS YOU
I finished my undergrad in Linguistics at Newcastle last year, and I'm now going to UCL to do a postgrad. If you're at all like me and are interested in Linguistics beyond your undergrad degree, come to ULAB - the UNDERGRADUATE ASSOCIATION OF BRITAIN conference in Edinburgh.
ULAB is organised by linguistics students from across the UK (myself included), and it gives you the opportunity to spend a weekend with other passionate linguistics undergrads from across the UK. At the conference, you can hear other people present or you could be brave and submit some work to present yourself. I did last year at York, and it was really fun. Not intimidating at all.
If you're interested, the conference is on Sat 26th-Sun 27th April at Edinburgh Uni. If you're interested, check out our site:
http://lingstudents.co.uk
There you can find out about:
-What ULAB is
-What sort of stuff you can expect to see presented
-How to present a bit of your own work, and submission dates
-Where you can stay
-How to get there
As well as the conference, we are also starting to provide info on how to go from Undergrad to Postgrad, so if you're interested in pursuing an MA or MSc, whether if linguistics or a related subject, check this out:

There are already Newcastle students coming up, so talk to Issy Fielder, the Chair of the SELLL Staff-Student Committee, or message me and I could help you guys out any time.
On a final note - this conference would be perfect experience for anybody who wants to apply to do a postgrad degree. What could look better on your application than the fact you've already presented in front of 50-100 linguistics on a topic of your choice?
The Undergraduate Linguistics Association of Britain (ULAB) is a student-run UK organisation for students of linguistics and related fields. We hold an annual conference at different universities in Britain to connect like-minded people.
