Yesterday was world su***de prevention day. If you’re struggling with your mental health, having suicidal thoughts or know someone who is, help and support is available. There is always someone who cares and you don’t have to struggle alone.

As your welfare reps (Liam Mullen and Sadie Scott), we’re here to help. If you’re unsure of where to get support or just need a chat, don’t hesitate to drop us a message and we’ll signpost you to someone who can help.

Pharmacist support is an independent charity which provides help and support to pharmacy students, pharmacists and their families in times of need:

A huge congratulations to all of our 4th years who graduated yesterday!! We hope you had a great day, enjoyed celebrating and are excited for your next chapters!!

Throughout your time at Durham and Newcastle you've all contributed to Pharmsoc and more widely pharmacy in some way, shape or form, however, there are a few people who we feel deserve a little extra recognition, and we are awarding the following members Honorary Life Membership:

Kweku Bimpong - Kweku has actively been involved in Pharmsoc throughout his time at University and contributed significantly in overseeing the transition from Durham to Newcastle.

Emma Blackwood - Not only has Emma consistently supported Pharmsoc, being on the committee in both Durham and Newcastle, she also designed the Newcastle University Pharmacy Society crest.

William Moore - Serving over two years in senior positions within Pharmsoc, Will has succeeded in bringing the society to Newcastle, creating a fun social environment allowing Pharmsoc to grow.

Andrew Moy - Throughout his time at university, Andrew has supported Pharmsoc on numerous occasions, promoting both the BPSA and Pharmacist Support regularly.

We would love to thank the above four for all the time, work and effort they have put into making this society the best it can be and wish them the best of luck both next year, and for the rest of their careers!
We hope to see you all at our Winter Ball this December...
