Many congratulations to Ulster University BSc Hons Environmental Health student, Jamie Houston who won this year's WISHNI Student Ambassador Award and also Linden Haughian, who was the runner up. Jamie gave a brilliant presentation today to the waste industry professionals on his winning accident investigation report, highlighting the importance of a good health and safety culture and accident prevention measures such as 'Lock Out Tag Out'. Thanks so much to David Donnelly, the WISHNI committee members, the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland and in particular the professionals who gave their time to participate in the accident role-play exercise.
