Over the summer a group of our students travelled to Vietnam! It was an amazing experience and one that will stay with everyone involved for a long time!
Travelling across Vietnam, the group experienced so much of what the country has to offer, visiting Hanoi, Haiphong, Ninh Binh, Yen Bai and Sapa. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Vietnamese culture while seeing students fully embrace every opportunity and challenge that came their way.
In Yen Bai, students taught English in a local primary school and cycled out to some beautiful waterfalls. In Sapa, they volunteered at a government-run wildlife rescue centre, helping to care for animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. The group also took on the challenge of reaching Fansipan, the highest point in Indochina.
From teaching and volunteering to cycling, exploring and pushing themselves outside their comfort zones, it was a trip packed with unforgettable experiences. Most importantly, it was fantastic to see the students demonstrating such enthusiasm, resilience and compassion throughout.
A truly unforgettable experience, filled with incredible memories, new challenges and opportunities that the students will remember for years to come!
Another fantastic trip opportunity available to Bilborough College Students!
