🐻✨ We were delighted to welcome Biscuit, the BSA Bear, to Oxford International College this week as part of the Boarding Schools’ Association's 60th anniversary celebrations.

During the visit, Biscuit toured our teaching site and boarding houses, meeting members of our community and experiencing life at OIC firsthand. As Biscuit continues a special journey to schools across the UK, we were proud to showcase the vibrant, supportive and internationally minded environment that defines our college.

A new sound has arrived at OIC.

Our authentic African marimbas, brought back from Botswana, are now fully assembled and ready to play. The College now has a full set of five instruments, offering students a rare opportunity to experience traditional music from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana.

Taking place every Tuesday from 5.30–6.30pm, the marimba sessions are designed to be accessible to all levels of musical experience, while introducing students to the rich musical traditions of southern Africa.

Well suited to outdoor performance, the marimbas also open up exciting possibilities for future performances and cultural celebrations across the College community.
