Calling all Hildabeasts - sign up now for the 2027 Town & Gown 10K on Sunday 9th May, join the St Hilda's team and raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

All team members will receive a free St Hilda's team T-shirt and a seat at the table for the famous St Hilda's Town & Gown brunch. College members will also receive £10 back after they have run.

Happy International Dog Day! Here is a letter from our archives written by "Beeto" to the Principal Ester Burrows (via his owner TW Richardson who arrived at St Hilda's in 1900).

“I will fetch your tennis balls out of the bushes whenever you want me to…I will try always to behave like a little gentleman as I’ve been taught to do….my paw is too tired to write more, excuse any spelling mistakes.” - writes Beeto.

It looks from the letter that followed that Beeto was allowed to join Miss Theodora Wigham Richardson at St Hilda's!

Today, the College only allows assistance dogs on site - but we're sure Beeto was a VERY GOOD BOY! 🐶🐾
