Thursday, 17th of February at 7pm UK time
Dr. Steven Smilkstein will be presenting Part 1 of the Series: Chiropractic Biomechanics and Sports Care.

Section 1 will involve discussion of the role of a chiropractor in sports and a brief overview of biomechanical theories and concepts as well as how to use this to assess patients.

Dr. Steven Smilkstein is a chiropractor from South Africa and graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2011 with a Master of Chiropractic. He continued his education by completing the ICSC (former ICCSP) International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic issued by FICS in 2016.

He currently works at the University of Johannesburg and used to teach Clinical Biomechanics and Kinetics there. He works at the Wanderers Wellness Centre as a Chiropractor and serves on the FICS Education Comission.

29th of November 7:30 PM with Dr. David Rhodes, a Sports Therapist and Performance Consultant.
Those of you who have been to our last few talks and those, who know a little bit about elite sports will know that inter professional cooperation is very highly valued and highly necessary in this field in particular. For this reason, we have invited David Rhodes.
Currently a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead in the DProf in Elite Performance. David's experiences are predominantly in elite football where he has worked as a sports scientist, sports therapist and the last 6 years has seen him lead and develop performance departments. He has always combined his academic work with work in elite performance, ensuring that he remains current within his field of work.
