Congratulations to our Aeronautical Engineering students who won the ‘Best Presentation Award’ at the “It Flies! USA 2018” competition.

James Shipway, Bronwen Hadden, and Dragoș Mihai Șovar presented, defended and had their ‘blended wing body cargo aircraft' design project test flown at the international competition held at the University of Dayton.

Katie Danahar went to Treorchy Comprehensive School before coming to USW to study the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering degree, coming via the foundation route. Katie recently went to British Airways Maintenance Heathrow for a placement and has now returned to University for her final year.

Bethan Jones, from Pontypridd, graduated from the BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering in 2014. She now works as a section engineer at Raymond Brown Construction, where she is based in Bridgend but works all over the UK.
