Weekly sessions will be held in Palmer 111 on Whiteknights Campus between 7-9pm every Monday during term time. Reading Model United Nations Club is a young, albeit prolific society in the University of Reading. The purpose of the club is to engage in exciting debates concerning global issues, in the format that is used to debate in the United Nations. Not only is this an incredible experience that

just simply looks amazing on a CV, it is also a great opportunity to meet people who care about global issues and love to debate them. If you love debate, politics, global affairs, or you're simply intrigued by what we do, don't hesitate to visit our stall during freshers fayre. In case you won't be able to find us there, we hold weekly meetings every Wednesday in the Palmer building. Feel free to contact any of our friendly committee members for further information! hello everyone, once again we have our weekly session on Monday 7-9pm in the palmer building room 111. The topic shall be the conflict in Cyprus, for those unaware of this conflict a video briefly detailing the history is attached (History: https://youtu.be/38NGVPw3UFw), the session shall be set in 1974, with the invasion of Cyprus by turkey in July 1974. Thus I have also attached a link to a map of the world in 1974 so that you can see what countries are around at that point (Map: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag-map_of_the_world_(1974).png), please take special note of east Germany, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union.
