Our undergraduate students are conducting research on truly applied and important aspects of language and linguistics, while also gaining valuable experience in presenting academic work to wider audiences. Here, Lauren Grinyer (final year) presents her research on “Circumlocution and Pronoun Use as Markers of Semantic and Working Memory Deficits in MCI, Dementia, and PPA” at a conference organised by the Undergraduate Linguistics Association of Britain (ULAB) in York. We are proud that our students are actively involved in this community, and especially delighted that Lauren is now one of the co-chairs 🎉
