Get ready, because the RUMS Formal 2026 is coming in hot! 🔥🎉🥳

It's going to be a night of questionable singing to songs everyone pretends they know, suspiciously confident outfit choices, and awards that nobody asked for but everyone secretly wants. 🎤👗🏆

So join us on Thursday the 11th of June at Flex, in the SU, at 6pm!
The dress code is formal (so, as fancy as you want) and food will consist of pizza and picky bits. Tickets are available on the SU website and of course, plus-ones are welcome! 🎟️🥳

Tickets are available to purchase until 9pm on Wednesday 3rd of June, so don't delay, get your tickets today! 🎟️🗓️⏳

Come along and support our Brass Band at the Centenary RAG Parade on Sunday 17th May. Enjoy a great performance and celebrate 100 years of music at Reading with us! 🎵

We will be performing outside M&S at approximately 12:20 - 12:30, depending on the progress of the parade. There will be lots of other exciting celebrations as a part of the parade, and at the festival in Forbury Gardens until 5pm! Check it out, you don’t want to miss this historic event!

This May at RUMS! 🎉

We kick this very musical month off with our very own RUMS Quiz Night 2026: Music Around the World. Where all of RUMS ensemble will take to the stage, there's prizes to be won so what are you waiting for!!! (*UoR Students only*)

A number of our ensembles will then be participating in a joint concert with UoR Music; Roll credits. 🎻🎺🎉

We then have an extremely busy weekend with both the UoR Community festival and Reading RAG parade taking place! 🎉🎊

We also have our Eurovision watch along social taking place in Mojos, so why not come along support your favourite country! 🥳🇪🇺

And last but not least, our fabulous jazz band will be continuing their performances in mojos every other friday this month as part of "Jazz & Juice" so why not come along and support them! 🎷🎺🎶

The cost of the social is £7-£9 (dependant on the time of booking), but please *bring your student ID with you* so you can get that discounted price! ❗️💸🎳
