Foundation Learning take on the Surrey FE Bake Off 2026 - and WIN! 👏🍰🥇

Bradley and Jamie put in the hours practicing their cake design and it paid off, with the duo claiming a well-deserved first place 🎉 As part of the competition, Bradley and Jamie stepped further outside their comfort zone and presented a PowerPoint slide to Nescot College's Life Skills department. They explained the choice in their creative island decorative design and the story behind it.

Yesterday, we hosted a private viewing for our annual Reigate School of Art End of Year Exhibition and what an incredible evening it was! 🎨✨

Our talented Creative Arts students welcomed family and friends for an exclusive first look at their amazing pieces, showcasing months of hard work, creativity and artistic development.

From Victorian-inspired dresses to delicately crafted puppets, the exhibition was a fantastic showcase of our students' creativity and talent. A huge congratulations to everyone involved! 🎉

Have you spotted this woodland inspired mural at Reigate Station? 🖌️🌿

Level 4 Foundation Art student Emily chose to represent Surrey's wildlife and nature as part of her work experience project. Her imaginative design was proudly selected and unveiled to the public by Community Rail Group at an opening ceremony, and Emily's work now joins as the second mural to be showcased at our local stations, alongside another mural at Redhill station from Reigate School of Art students.

And that's a wrap on GCSE Maths and English exams for Summer 2026! 🎉📚

Over the past few weeks, our students have sat almost 4,000 exam papers across East Surrey College and John Ruskin College . We know how much hard work, dedication and perseverance goes into exam season, so a huge well done to every student who sat their exams. 👏

A massive thank you also goes to all the staff who went above and beyond to ensure exams ran smoothly and that our students had the best possible experience throughout the exam period. 🌟

Classroom learning was brought to life last Thursday with the help of The Dissection Guy, Sam Piri.🌟

During the excellent 5-hour session, students covered key areas of body anatomy, exploring the theory and essential facts before dissecting different anatomical structures of a pig.🧠🫀

The experience gave students a valuable opportunity to experience practical anatomy work that many people don’t get to do until university. They all got stuck in and was such a worth while workshop!

OSC students and staff were recently recognised for their outstanding achievements at the Committee of South London Principals Best Student and Teacher Awards, held at the House of Lords ✏️💫

Motor Vehicle student Nathan was nominated alongside his Tutor Gary Crowhurst, who were nominated together. Gary has created a environment which has helped Nathan develop his confidence and skills, with Nathan consistently demonstrating a positive attitude.
