On display in the town centre, created by local students 🎨
The artwork designed by BA (Hons) Graphic Design students at University Centre St Helens is now live across the hoardings as regeneration work in St Helens continues 👏
This has been more than just a design project. It’s been a chance for students to explore what they love about St Helens, share their hopes for the future and showcase the talent we have right here in our community 💙
As Councillor Richard McCauley said, regeneration is not just about new buildings, but about “providing opportunities for our residents and a place they can be proud to call home now and for future generations.”
For the students, it’s been a real-world experience from start to finish.
Ian Greenall, Head of Creative & Performing Arts, described it as “a privilege for our students to work on a real-world project… and to feel part of the transformation of our town centre.”
Working to a tight deadline and responding to feedback from the Council, students showed real commitment and professionalism throughout, producing work that is now part of the town centre environment.
For student Daryn Ashcroft, seeing their work on display in their hometown is “an honour and a privilege.”
👀 Take a look next time you’re in town and enjoy the fantastic work on show!
