TV & Radio student Josh has been part of Shock Radio since his first year at Salford 🎙️🎶

From co-hosting his own weekly show and producing a podcast series to live broadcasting at university events, being part of has helped him build real industry skills to use in both his assignments and future career.

Today, he gave Jorgina a tour of the studios and shared what it’s really like being part of the university’s radio society 👀

Ordsall Hall is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in the country 👀

The historic Tudor manor house in Salford dates back over 800 years, once home to the Radclyffe family, who many have reportedly spotted over the years.

Inside, you can explore its preserved Tudor rooms and get a glimpse into centuries of history, as well as take a stroll through the peaceful gardens 🌳

It’s free to visit and open Monday - Thursday 10-4, and Sundays 11:30-4.

It’s time for the Salford Degree Show 🎨📸

Last night we celebrated the launch of our annual Degree Show, showcasing the work of our final year students across art, media and creative technology 🎬

You can come and see it for yourselves from 29th May - 3rd June in the New Adelphi Building:

Have you noticed the Old Police Station on Crescent has had a makeover? 🎨

Thanks to brilliant local artists .studio the landmark building in the middle of our estate has a whole new look.
It was co-commissioned by Crescent Culture Collective and the wider Crescent partners including University of Salford, as part of the Salford 100 celebrations🥳

Lindsay Taylor head of the Art Collection says “At the University of Salford we feel it’s really important we provide opportunities for local artists. We love the new work which is a deliberate statement of intent about culture and creativity being at the heart of the Crescent community.”
