Performing Arts is so much more than acting!

When studying Performing Arts at The Sheffield College, you're not just learning how to act and become a character on stage, you'll also gain an understanding of everything that goes into bringing a production to life behind the scenes.

Production Arts is the creative, hands-on side of theatre, where you'll learn practical skills such as sound, lighting, stage management, set design, and so much more!

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, come along to our next Open Day at our Hillsborough Campus and see our students in action. You might even catch them working on the set for our upcoming pantomime, Treasure Island!

Our Bloom students at Peaks Campus took part in an arts and crafts session this week to mark Black History Month.

Students created thoughtful pieces of artwork that celebrated Black culture, achievements and contributions, while also reflecting on the challenges and struggles faced throughout history.

The activity encouraged meaningful conversations about the importance of Black History Month and why it continues to be celebrated today.

Check out the images above to see some of the fantastic artwork our students created, and stay tuned as we share more Black History Month events taking place throughout October.
