Posted • As our undergraduate programmes wind up over the next few weeks we would like to extend a massive thank you to all involved in making this year another amazing one!

Thank you to our students who have given their all to their studies and more. All staff have commented on how you've been during sessions and that we've had some memorable moments.

Thank you to all our technical support this year helping practicals run smoothly! Without you guys we certainly would have struggled at times!

Thank you to all our administrative staff who are often the unsung heroes of the department.

Finally thank you to all our teaching staff who have been involved this year be it full modules or single sessions your contributions have not gone unnoticed.

Remember students our staff work through the summer and are available for chats and support as our other university departments.

Posted • We are delighted to announce that we've been named in the top five in five categories including University of the Year in the largest exclusively student-voted higher institution awards in the UK!

After achieving the joint highest number of nominations of any institution in this year’s Student Choice Awards 2023 (WUSCAs), the University has been announced as among the best five for: University of the Year; Lecturers and Teaching Quality; University Halls; Postgraduate experience and Cost of Living support (submission-based).

We are also the only university in the North West in the top 20 for the University of the Year accolade and overall, has gained a top ten place in nine categories and top 20 place in 11 - all the categories the University was eligible to enter.
