The student wellbeing team are holding a workshop intended to help increase your understanding and knowledge about anxiety!

The session will provide you with tools that you can use while facing anxiety-triggering situations (e.g. exams). Although occasionally unpleasant, some anxiety can actually be a helpful and motivating emotion. Our hope is that this workshop provides you with a starting point from which to integrate skills into your daily life in the service of reducing anxiety.

This session will take place on Wednesday 19th November from 1pm to 2:30pm, on the Glasgow campus.

Starting a university course can be an exciting time of your life, but it also comes with challenges. Changes in your physical and social environment can make the transition difficult, especially for people who struggle with social anxiety.

This workshop will give an overview of what causes and sustains social anxiety, along with tools and techniques to help you manage this, and to make the most of your time at GCU.

This session will take place on Wednesday 22nd October from 1.00 to 2.30 p.m on campus in room CEE 3.

If you have any questions please contact the trainers Rajdeep Kumar ([email protected]) or Duncan Thomson ([email protected]).
