This , we are delighted to celebrate the success of one of our recent graduates, Izzy Ryan 🏅
Izzy trained as a Deck Cadet, sponsored by North Star under Ship Safe Training Group Ltd, where she completed two highly rewarding sea phases. Throughout her training, she demonstrated exceptional commitment, actively contributing to operations aboard offshore supply and stand-by vessels.
Her dedication and strong work ethic did not go unnoticed. While gaining experience as a deckhand, Izzy impressed North Star with her professionalism and potential, leading to the offer of a permanent position as a Second Officer, subject to the successful completion of her Advanced Certificate in Nautical Studies Cadetship.
Having achieved this milestone last summer, and after just turning 19, Izzy joined North Star full-time as a Second Officer straight away. In her role, she now undertakes full navigational watches and operates across the North Sea, further developing her expertise at sea.
We are incredibly proud of Izzy’s achievements and pleased to see her hard work and determination recognised. Her journey is a powerful example of what can be accomplished through resilience and ambition, and she serves as a true inspiration to women aspiring to build a career in maritime 🌟
