From life-threatening infections to global warming, our world-leading research in the areas of molecular and cellular bioscience, biomedical sciences (particularly neuroscience and development), ecology and the environment focuses on addressing today’s key challenges. Our undergraduate programmes in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology and Zoology cover the spectrum of the biol

ogical sciences to help our students secure a rewarding future career. Our £50m investment in a new state-of-the-art Life Sciences Building reflects Southampton’s position as one of the UK’s top 15 research universities. The Life Sciences Building is also the base for the Institute for Life Sciences (IfLS), a research centre which aims to tackle some of the world’s most complex scientific problems through multidisciplinary collaboration.
