In 2014, two of our students Adam Gonthier and Luke Tench pitched to us they wanted to film a pub gig raising money for a children's cancer charity. Five years later, the Teddy Rocks Festival is at a much bigger venue and this year raised more than £100,000 - at the same time as giving our current TV Production students real world learning experience. A film featuring the lead singer of Alabama 3, death masks and Jacob Rees-Mogg has helped five Solent University television students scoop the Best Student Factual TV award at the recent Royal Television Society (RTS) Southern Region Awards.
