Southampton University Netball Club The official page of Southampton University Netball Club (SUNC) We currently have 5 teams playing in the BUCS Western league.

Our 1st and 2nd teams train together on Monday evenings, and 3rds, 4ths and 5ths train on Thursday evenings. BUCS matches take place every Wednesday, and are followed by our notorious socials. We are a fun, friendly and competitive netball club that welcomes people of all ages and a range of ability! Freshers can come and find us at the Bunfight this year where we will be able to answer any questions you may have, and you'll also be able to sign up for trials for the netball squad.

Finally it’s time for our ones.

The ones close the netball day at 2:00pm — the biggest game on the schedule, with everything on the line. Captained by Poppy and Mel, this is where intensity will be met.

From centre pass to the final whistle, expect sharp drives through the court, tight defence, and jaw-dropping finishes in the circle. With Poppy controlling the tempo through court and Mel putting that pressure on in the D, this what SUNC is all about.

The 2s take over at midday — captained by VP Swayze, who will keep everything running smooth, and Treasurer Glizzie, who handles the figures… mainly by putting more of them on the scoreboard.

With Swayze setting the rhythm and Glizzie turning every opportunity into another number on the board, expect a performance that’s as controlled as it is clinical — because when your Treasurer’s a shooter, the totals are only going one way.
