On Friday 23 October, Warsash Maritime School celebrated its April 2026 BSc (Hons) and Foundation Degree cadets at a special Bon Voyage event, marking an exciting milestone in their maritime journeys. The event was an opportunity to recognise their achievements so far and raise awareness of the charities and support organisations available to seafarers throughout their careers.
A huge thank you to Merchant Navy Welfare Board (MNWB), The Mission to Seafarers, Neurodiversatsea, SaferWave, Seafarers' Advice and Information Line (SAIL), Sailors' Society, Seafarers Hospital Society, Stella Maris, The Seafarers’ Charity and the Safeguarding team at Solent University, Southampton for sharing valuable information and support.
With celebrations, networking and cake to round off the afternoon, our Deck cadets are now preparing to join their vessels over the coming weeks, while Engineering and Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) cadets will begin their first sea phases in December.
