Just like that, that's the end of another year of service here at Clouds Restaurant. 🫡

Last night, we said goodbye to the 2025/26 academic year with a Guest Chef dinner service made in collaboration with experienced chef James Holden from Adopt A Schools Trust.

Here's one of our students with one of the finished products, looks delicious! 😍

We'd like to extend a sincere thank you to every customer who has supported the restaurant this year. You've played a key part in training the next generation of chef and hospitality professionals. 💙

He's a finalist! 🎉

We're delighted to say Engineering student Calum Borland has been shortlisted as a finalist for T-Level Student of the Year at the Enginuity Awards 2026!

Noted for his exceptional work ethic and professional development over the course of his T-Level placement, Calum was put forward by his mentors at BAE Systems who described him as "a future engineer with clear direction".

Calum will be heading to London on the 1st July to be at the celebration ceremony based in Westminster. We are so proud of him and wish him the best of luck! 🍀

📝 Registration opens in the Student Hub from 8am and you need to have registered by 9am.
⏰ The exam starts promptly at 9.30.
💧 Remember to bring any equipment you will need with you in a clear plastic bag and don’t forget that any water bottles need to have the label taken off.

Last month, our T-Level Digital students completed their 5-month industry placement at The White Rabbit Academy. 🐰

The White Rabbit Academy is a new digital skills hub created by Sarah Jackson, CEO and founder of Hatters Digital Agency, based in Southport.

Across the past 5 months, our students have networked with business professionals, taken part in lectures and workshops, completed employer-set challenges and created strong, working relationships with their business mentors. They completed their final session with a presentation about their project. 👏

Throughout the programme, our students went from strength to strength, growing in confidence not only in themselves but also their skillset. It was brilliant to see.

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Sarah Jackson for letting us take part in the pilot of The White Rabbit Academy and creating such a valuable programme for young people looking to enter the digital industry. We'd also like to thank all of the fantastic business mentors who played such a key role in the Academy, as well as Sefton Council for supporting this initiative.

Earlier in the month, our hair and beauty department completed a 5.5km charity walk around Southport town centre in support of mental health awareness. 🧠🌱

They raised a brilliant £185 for YoungMinds and also looked after their own mental well being by taking a walk in the sunshine. How are lucky are we to live in a town with such beautiful views. 😍

Take back Tuesday. 🔥 Here's some match highlights from Southport Education Group's last football match of the season! ⚽

Our team (made up of students from ourselves and KGV Sixth Form College) took to the pitch at the home of CrosbyF.C., the Travel Arena, for their last competitive inter-college game of the season against Cheshire West College.

A huge well done to everyone involved for representing Southport Education Group with pride throughout the academic year! We're already looking forward to September.
