St Andrews is one of the leading research-intensive universities in the world and offers a postgraduate experience of remarkable richness. St Leonardโs Postgraduate College is at the heart of the postgraduate community of St Andrews. All po
stgraduates are members of the College which was originally founded in 1512 as a college for poor clerks of the Church of St Andrews. The head of the College retains the historic title of Provost and the current Provost is Professor Monique L Mackenzie of the School of Mathematics and Statistics. The College supports postgraduate students and, through events such as welcome receptions, formal dinners, coffee mornings and the annual St Leonardโs College Postgraduate Lectures, aims to provide opportunities for postgraduates to come together and make new connections.
