On the 25th and 26th November, the Sixth Form at Gable Hall School supported our first fundraising event - a two day bake sale to raise money for TOFS charity.

The sale raised a lot of awareness for the condition, with a lot of students engaging with the information booklets and magazines that were set out.

£301.29 was raised over the 2 days!

Thank you to Holly, whose dedication and hard work lead to a fantastic start to this campaign!

A big thank you to our star bakers: Callie, Charlotte, Holly, Lisa & Amy for giving up your time and your ingredients.

A big thank you to the students that helped aid the sale: Holly, Callie, Dakota, Nia, Emma & Amelia

And finally, a big thank you to the year 13 student body, teaching staff, admin staff and the Sixth Form Leadership Team for supporting the cause.

Just a quick heads up - Odd Sock Day is approaching fast to go hand in hand with Anti Bullying Week starting 11th November, and we're excited to celebrate our uniqueness as part of Anti-Bullying Week! 🧦✨

Here's a little checklist for you and students:

•Rock Your Odd Socks: Get those mismatched socks ready! Tuesday, November 12th, show your support for Anti-Bullying Week by proudly wearing odd socks to school. Let's make a colourful statement together!

•Make a Difference: Contribute £1 to The Diana Award, a fantastic charity empowering young people to stand against bullying and create positive change. Every pound counts! 💷

•Easy Donations: Drop off your donations during form time. Our dedicated Anti-Bullying Ambassadors will be there to collect them with a smile. Your support means the world!

Remember, every penny raised directly supports The Diana Award, honouring the legacy of Diana, Princess of Wales, in the fight against bullying.

A very big thank you to everyone who attended our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 10th October!

It was incredible to see so many future students and their families exploring the opportunities that await at our Sixth Form. From engaging talks with our fantastic teachers to interactive sessions showcasing our courses, the evening was buzzing with excitement and possibilities!

On Wednesday 25th September we had the pleasure of WaterBear University Brighton visit us to talk to our Year 11 & Year 13 students about higher education opportunities in the Music Industry. The guests current knowledge and personal experience helped form a great picture for our Sixth Form students who are interested in studying music and music technology in further education.

We currently have past students - Samuel and Amber attending WaterBear, whilst Finlay is across the road at BIM.

Whether you want to learn how to be a successful producer or artist. This course can help show you how to be successful as a Musician across the entertainment industry and how to handle working as a freelancer.
