📣 Travel disruption this weekend 📣

Planned engineering works will affect rail services between Edinburgh and Stirling on Saturday, 12 September and Sunday, 13 September.

There will be no direct trains between Edinburgh and Stirling on these dates. Passengers travelling between the two locations should travel via Croy or Glasgow Queen Street, changing trains to complete their journey.

Those planning to travel are encouraged to check their journey in advance and allow extra time for travel. Further information is available on the ScotRail website. (https://brnw.ch/21x5yqa)

🏆 's Head of Golf Dean Robertson captained Great Britain and Ireland to an historic The Walker Cup success over the weekend.

GB&I defied the odds and mounted the biggest comeback in tournament history – picking up seven of the 10 points in the singles to clinch victory 13.5-12.5.

Dean said: "We are so elated. We're hardly able to put it into words. There's a lot of emotion, a lot of happy tears. But pride is the word I would use to describe this."

🎮 research has found that professional players representing their country face intense psychological pressures that can have lasting effects on their wellbeing.

🎮 The study, by Dr Hee Jung Hong and Dr Sungkyung Kim, which explored the experiences of South Korean players at the 2022 Asian Games, highlights the need for stronger mental health support as esports becomes an increasingly prominent part of the global sporting landscape.

Older adults helped shape the future of digital technology through a major -led study.

Working with 157 participants across Scotland and England, researchers developed a new toolkit that helps organisations design digital products that are easier to use, more inclusive and better suited to the needs of older people.

The research highlights the value of co-design in creating technologies that help older people stay physically active, socially connected and independent.
