Our Choices students have been proudly stepping into the role of “Star Bakers” as they develop valuable cookery and hospitality skills in preparation for the opening of the Choices Café at our Cheadle College campus. 👩‍🍳✨

Through hands-on learning, students are building confidence in food preparation, hygiene and teamwork, while also exploring their creativity in the kitchen.

When the café opens, students will take an active role in planning menus, costing ingredients, preparing and serving food, supported throughout by our dedicated colleagues.

This exciting initiative is helping students to build practical life skills, grow in independence and develop confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As we celebrate Green Week, we’re looking back at an inspiring moment from our Green College Assembly…

Our students represented the College at the Greater Manchester Green Summit, connecting with organisations, exploring green skills and gaining insight into the region’s journey towards a more sustainable future.

From engaging in thought-provoking panel discussions to exploring real-world solutions in the exhibition space, they made the most of every opportunity, asking insightful questions, sharing ideas and thinking about how sustainability can be applied within college, future careers and everyday life.

It was fantastic to see their passion, professionalism and commitment to making a difference - something we continue to champion this Green Week and beyond.
