Strathaven & District Round Table The SRT is “a social club with a social conscience and aims to make a positive contribution to our local community”. Aged 18-45? Look no further!

The BEST young men's club in the World & it's in Strathaven. Fun, friends, socialising and much more. Our main form of fund raising is our annual Bonfire Night. In addition to this we also do a Beer Festival & Raft race & BBQ

We also have some great sporting competitions. Our biggest is a National Sporting Weekend (NSW) where we hire a university campus or holiday park and bring all the clubs fro

m around the country for a weekend of sports and partying. ALL THE MONEY WE RAISE GOES BACK INTO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY!! Strathaven & District Round Table are proud to donate £350 to support this brilliant safety initiative at Kirklandpark Primary School.

The Junior Road Safety Committee came up with a fantastic idea - a competition to design a reflective keyring that pupils can wear on their journey to and from school, helping them stay visible and safe.

We’re delighted to help bring the winning design to life so every pupil can receive one. Huge credit to the committee for driving such a thoughtful project that puts children’s safety first.

And a special thank you to Samuel and the committee for the lovely card ☺️

Strathaven Round Table was delighted to donate £650 to support the Home Link literacy and numeracy project at Avondale Early Learning and Childcare.

The funding will help create take‑home learning packs filled with stories, songs, rhymes, activities and resources for children and their families. It’s a fantastic initiative that helps build positive learning outcomes right from the very start of a child’s journey.

Strathaven Round Table was proud to donate £440 to support the Strathaven Academy Learning Community racial literacy and equalities project for Primary 7 pupils.

The funding will provide copies of Boy, Everywhere, a novel that opens conversations about refugees, resilience, and empathy. It’s a fantastic project helping pupils across our local primaries as they get ready to move up to the Academy.

🚨 AGM UPDATE: Strathaven & District Round Table Has a New Head Honcho 🚨

Today marks our AGM — the moment we look back at everything we’ve achieved and hand over the reins for another year of community, chaos, and cracking events.

A huge thank you to our outgoing Chair, Fraser, for steering the ship with style over the past year as well as all the team who supported throughout the year. Three brilliant events delivered, plus the launch of an entirely new one — the Strathaven Whisky Festival, which has already become a firm favourite.

We’re also incredibly proud to say it’s been a record‑breaking year of giving, with over £24,000 donated to support local causes across Strathaven and the wider district. That’s only possible because of the people who show up, support our events, and believe in what Round Table does for the community.

And now… the baton passes.

Welcome to our new Chair, Cameron!

May his year be filled with big ideas, smooth events, and absolutely no 11pm messages that start with “lads, hear me out”.

This weekend we’re gifting more than just Easter eggs! 🐣

We were delighted to support the Strathaven Scout and Guide Centre with a £500 donation towards the cost of new tables for the hall.

The centre plays an important role in the local community, hosting scout and guide activities as well as a wide range of events including market and stalls, it has also been home to our beer and gin festival over the years.

We’re pleased to help support a venue that continues to be such an important part of the Strathaven community 😊

Happy Easter weekend from Strathaven Round Table 🐣

We were delighted to support two local young leaders with donations of £250 each towards their upcoming scouting adventures.

Sarah Lapsley is fundraising to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Poland 2027 as a leader, while Greig Lapsley is preparing for the Explorer Belt in Croatia in 2027.

We wish them both every success with their fundraising and their exciting adventures ahead 🌍⛺

The Strathaven Whisky Festival is in full swing. What an absolutely smashing day so far. Massive thanks to Select Drams Ltd for supporting and being absolutely amazing guidance for our first Festival and to all the vendors who are keeping the crowd hydrated with the Amber Nectar.

Sitting scrolling away thinking I fancy doing something with like minded people, well most of our group are. 😎

Come along to Strathaven & District Round Table first meeting of 2026 at Scout and Guide hall on Friday the 30th at 8pm.

We are always on the look out for new members.

You may be familiar with some of our events like the original Strathaven Beer Festival, our Fireworks and Bonfire Extravaganza and our newest event to the calendar Strathaven Whisky Festival which is already a sell out!!!

We also throw in some time to hit some ‘social’ activities at Golfang, Topgolf and Scotkart.

Not to mention being able to support some fantastic local organisations with fundraising.

Come along for some banter and terrible jokes.
