It was an incredible day 🌞🍰 celebrating the graduation of our A2 students, joined by some of our International Buddies at Sketty Hall.

After enjoying a traditional roast dinner, our Head of International, Ruth Owen Lewis, shared a few words to congratulate students on their achievements so far. This was followed by Dean of Faculty, Jenny Hill, who also offered some warm words before presenting each student with their graduation certificate 👏

There were plenty of smiles and laughter throughout as everyone looked back on fond memories of their time at Gower College Swansea 🎉

Despite it being a busy time for students with AS and A Level exams 📚✏️ we had a number of students take part in the latest International Day for Coexistence in Peace.

Positive conversations were had with students from around Europe 🤝🌍 showing the importance of international cooperation; tackling economic, social, cultural or humanitarian challenges together.

Last month, Health & Social Care students had the incredible opportunity with Taith funding to visit our longstanding partners at ROC Midden, Utrecht, Netherlands 🏫 to see their high quality healthcare programme facilities.

Students found it a highlight to learn of the history of healthcare in the Netherlands and how it has changed 🩺 As well as gaining a wealth of knowledge and confidence, which they all believe to improve their employability skills 💼

All participants would recommend it to future students of Healthcare! ⭐️

Diolch and hwyl fawr to No.2 High School of Zhuzhou! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇨🇳

Students embraced the Welsh culture with our Welsh Language Team, learning fun phrases, and making Welsh Valentine’s cards to give to loved ones 🩷 as well as a Critical Thinking session with our Oxbridge Coordinators 💡

They explored Swansea University campuses, including Singleton Abbey and the School of Law, where they took part in an exciting hands‑on courtroom session 🧑‍⚖️ They also enjoyed inspiring FHMLS masterclasses, pharmaceutical lab activities such as capsule filling and blood grouping, and fascinating bioscience sessions including blood film microscopy 🧪

To end their Winter School experience, one confident Zhuzhou student delivered an impressive English presentation, reflecting on the warm Welsh welcome and the incredible learning opportunities they gained at Gower College Swansea and to always be open to learning from others around the World 🌍✈️
