Frank Morton 2027 bidding is OPEN!! 🏆🎉

If you're still on the high from Monday and would like to continue the legacy of this unique event, then why not bring FM to your uni next year!

This year, we have introduced a 2-stage bidding process.

Stage 1 is very simple. Just fill in the attached form with your lead contact's details and get approval from your head of school. By doing this, you'll be invited to have a short guiding chat with previous FM organisers. The deadline for this is Tuesday, March 3rd, with meetings the following week.

Stage 2 is to submit a one-page summary of your plan and another page of key contacts and details. More info will be provided in the steering chat. The deadline for submissions will be Friday, 27th March!

Our steering team will then select the most suitable host from all submitted bids. We aim to have a final host announced in mid-April!

Organising FM is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! You make so many friends, and you gain so many skills that you can use in interviews for future jobs. You also continue a tradition that has been going on for 65 years and is the envy of other subjects!

** FRANK MORTON 2026 HOST REVEAL! **

We are delighted to announce that Frank Morton is heading back to the University of Nottingham in 2026! 🙌 👏

Our two-time defending champions and last year's hosts have keenly stepped in to welcome UK Chemical Engineering again, promising bigger and better this year! The question is, can anyone beat them? 🏆

We're in the final stages of confirming an exact date, but it will be in mid-February as usual. We'll let everyone know as soon as we can!

With many of you enjoying the sunshine, we have decided to extend the bidding deadline to give all universities as much time as possible to express interest in hosting FM.

Frank Morton 2026 bidding is now open!!

After the best post-covid FM in Nottingham this year, we now need to hand the baton over to a new university.

FM only survives if we can find a host each year to organise the event. Hosting gives you a great opportunity to win as more people will come for a home event. It is really rewarding and a huge thing that you can put on your cv.

All of the information about putting together a bid is below. The deadline is 1st August and submissions are to be sent to [email protected]. All bids will be reviewed and if multiple bids are received, a host will be selected by our steering committee. You can also email to ask any general questions or for a pdf copy of the bidding document.

BREAKING!!

The University of Nottingham is to host Frank Morton in February 2025!!

We are delighted to announce that the three time winners and reigning FM Champions have stepped up to host the event in 2025. It’ll be the first time since 2011 that the university has hosted the event and they’ll be looking to go back-to-back after ending Birmingham’s dynasty in Swansea last year.

AND THATS A WRAP!! 🎉🎉

Thank you for a fantastic Frank Morton 2024 everyone!

We had a fantastic turnout of over 500 attendees from 11 different chemical engineering departments across the U.K. and Ireland attend a networking event featuring 10 industry titans, a sports day and then of course, an awards ceremony followed by a LEGENDARY night of live music and DJs!

Thank you everyone for coming and again congratulations to for winning FM 2024!
