📖✨ Stepping back 400 years in time...

A group of our history students recently visited Great St Mary's Church in Cambridge last Friday as part of their study of the 17th century. The highlight of the visit was an extraordinary opportunity to carefully handle the church’s original first-edition King James Bible... a rare privilege, as it is seldom removed from its display case!

Turning the pages of a document that has survived four centuries brought history to life in a way no textbook ever could. Experiencing such an important piece of history in the heart of Cambridge was both inspiring and unforgettable.

🎬 Long Road Film Students Gain Industry Insight from ARU Visit

We were pleased to welcome Dr Sarah Gibson Yates and Dr Harriet Fletcher from Anglia Ruskin University’s Film & Media team, alongside ARU student and Long Road alumnus Louis Jeeves 🎥

Students from Film Studies and Applied Media 180 also took part in a hands-on filming workshop, producing some impressive short sequences using just their phones 👏

A brilliant opportunity for students to gain real insight into studying film at university and developing their creative skills.

👑 A Royal Celebration for Long Road’s Gold DofE Achievers 👑

Huge congratulations to our seven Year 13 students who have successfully completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award! 🎉

After 18 months of volunteering, developing new skills, taking on physical challenges, completing a residential and conquering their Gold Expedition, they were invited to celebrate their achievement at Buckingham Palace Gardens 🌟

We're incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and the dedication they've shown throughout their DofE journey.
