⚽️Year 10 Football Update⚽️

The lads have battled hard playing three matches in a week in challenging wintery conditions ❄️ The first match against St Thomas More ended in a heavy 5-1 defeat with Oliver Lowson contributing with our only goal of the game. Man of the match was awarded to captain Zak Henderson.

The second was a narrow 2-1 defeat to Longbenton in freezing snowy weather and fading light. It turned out to be one of those days in front of goal with the woodwork rattled on a couple of occasions. Oliver Lowson again scoring our only goal and receiving the man of the match award.

The boys bounced back superbly tonight in an aggressive and physical encounter with a 3-0 win against John Spence. Jude Proctor (MOTM) contributing from central midfield with two goals, the first being an absolute worldie from 35 yards out. A special mention to Harvey Wilson and Mason Linstead for outstanding performances.

Plenty more upcoming fixtures in league and cup scheduled for after the Christmas break!

So proud of our Year 7’s tonight in awful conditions! Currently going through an opening tough run of fixtures and they faced another two talented sides in St Thomas More and Valley Gardens. However their togetherness, workrate off the ball and passing was a joy to watch! Well done 👏👏👏

-Meet after lunch at 11.55 in indoor changing rooms
-Bring warm clothing forecast is cold!! Hats and gloves and lots of layers for inbetween races
-Wear CCC PE kit for running
