Health Futures UTC A school with a Health and Science focus. Now accepting applications for year 7 and year 12 September 2022!

From April 2022 Health Futures UTC will become Shireland Biomedical UTC and will be joining Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust. As such, we will no longer be offering spaces to year 10 students, but will become a full 11-19 school. We are now accepting applications into year 7 and year 12 for September 2022!

We’ve changed! Our Health Futures page may be inactive now, but don’t worry, we haven’t gone anywhere! We are now Shireland Biomedical UTC, partnered with Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust.

We offer an outstanding education for 11-18 year olds, with a curriculum which specialises in developing skills in science, healthcare, medicine and emergency services.

We combine academic study with real-life work projects and partnerships with major health, education and public sector organisations, providing our students with learning opportunities like no other in addition to delivering the standard national curriculum.

Offering tomorrow’s education today, our goal is to equip our students with the academic, practical and life skills they need to succeed, whatever future pathway they choose. Giving them an excellent foundation to thrive and succeed.

Flashback to last Thursday at our activity day here at Health Futures!

Year 6 pupils took part in Science and Health related activities including CPR, first aid, blood pressure reading and of course many exciting science experiments!

We hope to host an activity day every half term, so keep an eye on our social media and our website for more information!

We have an open day on Saturday 5th March 10am-1pm.

TOUR & EXPLORE EVENTS

Our Tour and Explore events are a great opportunity to chat with our friendly staff including the Principal, Mrs Ruth Umerah, take a look at the state-of-the-art facilities and tour our school building including a visit to our simulated hospital ward where practical lessons take place.

If you wish to view the school on a specific day, please email us at [email protected] and we are more than happy to arrange one for you (with social distancing in place).

Due to current COVID19 restrictions, we are currently running these events virtually. Login details on how to join the event on that day will be mailed to attendees who have booked.
