And so it comes to an end. When I started at Brooklands 11 years ago, I planned to stay for just a couple of years. In the 11 years I was there, it was a real pleasure to teach so many committed young people who have gone on the contribute to our society, by joining the Police, Army, Royal Navy, Fire and Rescue Service, Paramedics and Royal Air Force. I have also worked with some very committed and professional teachers to whom I wish every success, as I do the present group of students I am leaving behind.

Thank you Brooklands, it has been great!

On the 22nd March 2023 the second year level 3 Public Service students are holding a charity curry night in the training restaurant at Brooklands. The event is in aid of a wonderful charity called "Service Dogs UK. They provide dogs for Armed and Emergency Service Veterans who are suffering from PTSD.

There are two ways I would really like your help. 1, Please come along and buy a ticket.

2, can you donate a prize for either Auction or Raffle.

I have just received an e-mail from the Chief Constable of Surrey in which he specifically asks if any of our students or former students would be interested in joining the Police Service. Surrey Police are actively recruiting and would love to hear from any of you. If you fancy it, get your application in asap. They have targets to meet and you will be helping out a lot.

If you don't have enough UCAS points to go straight into your local Police Service Policing Apprenticeship scheme then take a good look at the HNC/HND in Policing from Brooklands College. We have excellent close relationships with our surrounding Police Forces, and a fantastic 2 year programme of study to give you the knowledge to make a great start to your career in Policing. Check it out.

The new BTEC Higher Nationals in Policing should enable qualification holders to top up to a BA Honours Degree in Policing

This might be seen as a bit of self praise, but we thought you might want to know that at this years Brooklands Best the Sport and Public Services team won 'The best team' award.

We were all really pleased to have won and it is as much a reflection on our students as it is on us.

So thank you to you all as well, we could not have done it without you.
