With more than 600 qualifications and a wide range of full-time and part-time courses on offer, three campuses across the city, specialist training academies in Telford and Worcester, a well-established Apprenticeship scheme, and new facilities opening all the time, studying here will equip you with the skills you need to succeed in the future. All of our courses lead to a qualification which will

help you on to the next stage of your life - whether that's improving your job prospects, increasing your personal skills or building your self confidence. Our students don’t just learn in a classroom but have the chance to work with real customers in our state-of-the art hair and beauty salons, bakery, restaurant and travel agency. And that’s not to mention our video production company, recording studio impressive construction centre and state-of-the art engineering and motor vehicle workshops.

A fantastic achievement for Lanita, who has made great progress since joining our SkillUp course in June.

After being assessed at Level 1 in maths and English, Lanita completed the four-week SkillUp course before progressing to Shaping Success to continue building her skills and confidence.

Thanks to her hard work and commitment, Lanita is ready to start GCSE maths and English this September.

Looking ahead, she hopes to complete an Access to HE course before studying nursing or teaching at university.

We’re delighted to welcome Philip Loach as the new Chair of our Board of Governors.

Phil takes over from Mike Hastings, who stepped down in July after eight years of dedicated service as a Governor, including more than two years as Chair.

We’d like to thank Mike for his fantastic contribution to the college and, in particular, the important role he has played in leading our Board. We wish him every success for the future.

Phil joined our Board in December 2025, bringing more than 30 years of public service experience. Before retiring, he spent a decade as Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive of West Midlands Fire Service and was awarded an OBE in 2024 for services to fire and rescue.

With extensive experience in leadership, governance and organisational change, Phil is passionate about supporting the college’s ambitions and keeping our staff, learners and wider community at the heart of the Board’s work.

A very warm welcome to your new role, Phil. We look forward to working with you!
