✨️ WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON✨️

In the last week, we have been working on an EPAD handbook for First Year Students.

We listened to our current students nurses who described understanding the EPAD as been a barrier in their student nursing.

Hopefully this handbook can help students to understand the EPAD better.

Welcome to the Wrexham Nursing Society! 🩺✨

Hi everyone! I’m Hannah, your President this year, and on behalf of the whole committee I’d like to give you the warmest Wrexham welcome! 🎉

Whether you’re a fresher still figuring out how to work the washing machine, or a final-year pro who can already insert a cannula in your sleep – you’ve found your people.

The Nursing Society is all about looking after each other, both in and out of scrubs. This year we’ve got:
☕ Coffee mornings – for a pick-me-up that isn’t from the library vending machine.
🤝 Buddy system – because sometimes you need a friendly face who’s “been there, done that, and survived the placement paperwork.”
🎄 Christmas party – where we swap scrubs for sparkles (and questionable dance moves).
🏆 Awards ceremony – to celebrate our wins, big and small (yes, even surviving a 12-hour shift on just snacks counts).

To our freshers: good luck as you start this amazing adventure! Nursing isn’t always easy, but trust me, you’re never alone – you’ve got a whole society behind you.

So come along, get involved, and let’s make this year one to remember. 💙
