🧠 As Mental Health Awareness Week comes to an end, we want to gently remind you of one thing: you don’t have to manage everything on your own.

This week has been about action — and action can be small, quiet, and taken at your own pace. It might look like rest, reaching out, using a support app, or simply recognising when things feel hard.

Support is available to students throughout your time at university, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, or just want to talk things through.

💬 If and when it feels right:
Wrexham University’s ASK team is here to listen, offer guidance, and help you access the support that fits your needs.

📢 Mental health isn’t just an individual issue.
While personal actions matter, lasting change also comes from systems that support wellbeing — in education, workplaces, and wider society.
It’s okay if you don’t have the energy to advocate or speak up. Change happens in many ways, including rest, reflection, and collective care.
💬 If you’re able:
You might share information, support mental health initiatives, or simply hold space for conversations when they arise.

🤝 Our surroundings and relationships can have a real impact on mental health.
Support doesn’t have to mean having the right words — sometimes it’s just being there, listening, or checking in without expectations.

💬 If you’d prefer anonymous or low pressure connection, Talk Campus offers 24/7 peer support with students worldwide. There’s also a multilingual helpline where trained clinicians are available, day and night.

You can log in using your student credentials, whenever feels right.

✨ Looking after your wellbeing doesn’t have to mean doing more.
For some people, it might be:

☕ taking a short break
🥗 eating or drinking something nourishing
📱 messaging someone you trust
🤍 or simply giving yourself permission to rest

If today feels heavy, it’s okay for your “one thing” to be getting through the day.

🎧 If quiet support feels helpful, Sorted: Mental Health offers short, evidence based audio tracks to support stress, anxiety, sleep, and focus — designed to fit into busy or low energy days. Contact [email protected] for further guidance on how to access the app.

🧠 Mental Health Awareness Week is here.

This year’s theme is Action — not pressure, not perfection, just gentle steps that can support mental health over time. Awareness matters, and so does what comes next. Action can look different for everyone, and even small things count. There’s no right or wrong way to take part.

💬 If it feels right:
You might pause and notice one small thing that helps you feel a little more supported this week.

🌿 Stress Awareness Month

This year’s theme is , which encourages each of us to recognise our own strength and the small steps we can take toward feeling more in control. 💛 The message centres on the idea that the mind is powerful, and that with support and intentional actions, we can move toward the changes we want for ourselves. It’s about noticing what’s within our control, being kind to ourselves in the process, and building genuine connections with others so we can thrive together. 🤝

If you’re looking for a supportive, practical way to start easing stress and creating space for yourself, Sorted can help. 🌱

All Wrexham University students have free access to Sorted: Mental Health app. It offers short audio tracks based on Positive Mental Training, designed to support stress, anxiety, low mood, sleep, and staying focused during busy weeks. It’s evidence based and even used within NHS services. 🎧
