It is with deep sadness that we can confirm three members of the Royal Navy have died during a helicopter training exercise on Wednesday 3 June near Sourton, Devon.

Today we say goodbye and best wishes to our outgoing Base Warrant Officer (BWO) WO1 Jason Walker RM as he hands over the role to WO1 'Woody' Woodrow RN.

The BWO is responsible for ensuring the welfare of the Junior and Senior Rates creating a conducive living and working environment to improve the quality of life for our staff.

Best wishes to Jase in his new role and thanks for a hoofing effort in supporting everyone.

Good luck and welcome 'Woody' you'll love it here at Yeovilton.

Saturday Lecture Morning
A diary date is 9 May 11am when the society will hold another Saturday Talk at FAAM.
Our guest speaker will be Col David Holmes of the Royal Canadian Air Force. A helicopter pilot, he will discuss the role performed by the RCAF in the maritime domain.
This event will not be available Online and non-members will also require a Museum entrance ticket to attend.

Presenters JJ Chalmers, Dwayne Fields and Kate Humble cover a number of aspects of life in the Royal Navy, including with RNAS Yeovilton featuring in a number of episodes with Air Traffic, Fighter Control, The Fleet Air Arm Memorial Church, training with the Merlin's of Commando Helicopter Force and Underwater Escape Unit (Dunker).
