Meet Ellie, who is studying the Level 3 Counselling Skills course here at Yeovil College.📚

We caught up with Ellie to find out her experience studying with us. Here’s what she had to say:

“I wanted to build confidence in counselling due to my job and saw an article come up that Yeovil College was offering the Level 2 course so I thought this would be a good first step into the world of counselling. During my time studying counselling, I have learnt many different personal and professional skills, but the most important topic would be communication and listening skills as this is helpful for everyone.

Personally, applying for this course was one of the best things I have done for myself. My confidence has improved and gaining the qualification has made it all worth it. After completing the Level 3, I will go onto the Level 4 to help upskill my knowledge further. I would recommend both my course and the college to anyone who is thinking of studying counselling.”💬

Yeovil College were proud to welcome BMet College onto campus earlier this week.🤩

Recently, BMet College Visited Yeovil College to meet with the Dental Tech delivery team to discuss our innovative Level 3 and Level 5 offerings in dental technician apprenticeship.🦷

They had the opportunity to observe a Level 5 lab session in our state-of-the-art dental facilities whilst speaking to our industry expert lecturers about the curriculum. Before being introduced to our Employer Engagement team where further insightful conversations happened.

Meet Michelle Shaw, who is studying the level 4 Accountancy course here at the Yeovil College University Centre.📚

“I started studying at the University Centre three years ago when I decided to enrol on the Level 2 accountancy course to give me more knowledge on the subject to help myself professionally grow in my line of work. Then from there I ended up progressing through Level 3 and now the Level 4.

The course is great, all the units are informative, and my lecturers Dawn and Graeme have really helped me exceed my targets. My class are all supportive of each other and we can always lean on one another if we need help. After completing the course, I will either look to do Level 5 or stay where I am as a finance manager but with a new skillset.”💬
